Wellbeing Ambassadors
How to become a Wellbeing Ambassador:
At the beginning of each school year, children in Years 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 are invited to apply for positions of responsibility in different subject areas. Information and deadlines for application are stated in the School letter sent to all school parents, please look out for it.
A letter, addressed to Mrs Burrows explaining why you'd be a good member of the team.
Children's Mental Health Week - February 2024
Our Caritas Council and wellbeing warriors delivered an assembly with the theme ‘My Voice Matters’, they talked about ways we could talk to each other and to talk about issues which matter most to them. They then went in smaller groups to each class, handing out an envelope of red hearts and asked for the classes to add some of their thoughts on promoting positive well being and sharing supportive phrases and happiness. We added some of these 'hearts of positivity' to our windows, to spread and highlight our children's voices matter.
Anti Bullying week - November 2023
For Anti Bullying week in November, the Wellbeing Warriors delivered a whole school assembly.
They asked for all children to wear odd socks on this day to celebrate how we are all unique and different. They invited children that may have a special story to share about why they have chosen those socks, where they got them from, to share it with their class on Odd socks day.
To further raise awareness, children were invited to design a poster featuring their very own anti-bullying hero. We thought about the qualities and characteristics that a hero would possess to put an end to bullying. Will their hero have colossal feet to stomp out bullying or superhuman hearing powers to listen for unkind words?
